Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the fault of a radio circuit terminal equipment accurately by automatically varying the impedance of a telephone circuit extending to a switchboard. CONSTITUTION:If an answer signal from the radio equipment 9 of a terminal side is not detected even a certain time after the radio equipment 6 of a switchboard side sends the calling signal owing to the fault of the radio equipment of the terminal side or a radio transmission line, a control circuit 22 operates to close a switch circuit 15 and also to initialize the radio equipment 6. The circuit 15 inserts a resistance 16 into a telephone line 5 to flow a fine current, which is detected by a switchboard 3 to report the fault. Then, when the circuit recovers by being repaired and next calling is performed normally, the circuit 22 of the radio equipment releases the circuit 15 and the switchboard 3 stops reporting the fault. Consequently, when calling to the radio equipment of the terminal side is disabled, the radio equipment of the switchboard side or its attached device terminates the telephone line of the switchboard side by a circuit having some impedance, detecting the fault.
