Abstract

PURPOSE:To divide and erase bubbles with the same pattern arrangement, by arranging a conductor pattern for expanding and erasing bubbles and a conductor pattern for dividing them so that they intersect ion charging transfer patterns alternately. CONSTITUTION:An expanding and erasing conductor pattern 2 and a dividing conductor pattern 3 are arranged with an insulating layer interposed so that these patterns 2 and 3 intersect two ion charging transfer patterns 1 and 1' alternately. When a rotating magnetic field HR is applied in the direction of an arrow, a bubble B0 is attracted to a charged wall CW and moves. When an expanding current IS is flowed to the pattern 2, the bubble B0 is expanded by a magnetic field due to the current IS. When a dividing current IC is flowed to the pattern 3 under this state, a magnetic field in the direction where the bubble B0 is erased is generated inside the loop in the pattern 3, and the expanded bubble B0 is divided into two bubbles B1 and B2 by this magnetic field. If a current which generates a magnetic field in the direction of bubble erasing is flowed to the pattern 2 when the bubble B0 exists inside the loop of the pattern on the pattern 1', the bubble is erased by this magnetic field.
