Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a colored anodized film of the unique enamel tone by heating and holding an Al alloy contg. Fe and Si then subjecting the same to an anodic oxidation treatment thence adsorbind dyes and inorg. salts by a dipping method.
CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy contg. 1.0W3.0% Fe and ≤0.2% Si is heated to ≥550°C and is held at this temp., after which it is rolled to a plate material or the like. This plate material is subjected to an anodic oxidation treatment to form an anodized film the enamel tone of a white color system or a milky ocher color system. Thence, it is dipped in a bath dissolved with an inorg. compd. such as ammonium ferric oxalate or the like or dyes, so that the dyes and inorg. salt are adsorbed into the micropores of the anodized film. By this method, the colored anodized film of the unique color tone which consists basically of the color tone of the anodized film and is mixed with the color tones of the particles of the inorg. salts or the dyes is formed.
