Abstract

PURPOSE:To speed adjustments of the transmitted signal level of a transmitter by facilitating the adjustments by providing a signal switching means of sending a signal for transmitted-signal level measurement to a transmission circuit via a level adjusting circuit as a substitute for a wave to be modulated. CONSTITUTION:A reference signal generated by a reference signal oscillator 1 is frequency-divided by a frequency divider 2 by a prescribed carrier frequency and converted by an LPF3 into a sine wave, which is supplied to a modulator 4. A readout signal obtained by scanning an original picture 5 by a reading circuit 6 is waveform-shaped according to the density of the original picture 5 by a waveform- shaping circuit 7 to input a picture signal to the modulator. Then, a carrier is modulated by the picture signal and amplified as a wave to be modulated by an amplifier 8 before being supplied to a semifixed resistance attenuator 9. The attenuator 9 controls the signal level and then sends its output to a transmitting circuit 10 via a switch SW1. The frequency division ratios of the frequency divier 2 are changed over by a changeover switch SW2 and a modulated wave input to the modulator 4 is selected by a changeover switch SW3 to adjust the transmitted-signal level.
