Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent vehicle data from being erased when a battery is disconnected, by transferring the data from a volatile memory to a nonvolatile memory when it is found out that the battery is to be disconnected or when a prescribed time has elapsed since the stoppage of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is stopped, an inversion output Q' becomes a high level H and the output of an OR circuit 7 also becomes a high level H after the lapse of a time T since the entry of the last vehicle speed pulse from a vehicle speed sensor C into a multivibrator 2b. As a result, a controller 5 detects the beginning of the rise in the output of the OR circuit 7 to transfer the data of a volatile memory 4 to a nonvolatile memory 6. Even if a battery 1 is disconnected within the time T after the stoppage, the output of a power detector 2a becomes a high level. As a result, the output of the OR circuit 7 becomes the high level so that the data of the volatile memory 4 is transferred to the nonvolatile memory 6. When the vehicle is running, the inversion output Q' of the multivibrator 2b has a low level and the power detector 2a is open. As a result, both the inputs to the OR circuit 7 become a low level so that the data are not transferred.
