Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure strength through mechanical adjustment alone and to stabilize product quality by pressure welding an Al plate and a copper pipe by integrated continuous working from the Al plate coil and the copper pipe coil, and cutting the plate after bulging the pipe. CONSTITUTION:An Al plate 2 is uncoilded from an Al coil A and its required parts are subjected to the removal of oxide films and formation of rough surfaces by polishing with a wire brush 5. At the same time, a copper pipe 1 uncoiled from a copper pipe coil B is passed through flattening rolls 6, whereby it is compressed to a flat pipe 9. A rough surface by polishing with a wire brush 10 is formed on one surface of the pipe 9, and the pipe is superposed on the Al plate. These are passed through pressure welding rolls 11 so that both are joined to one body axially in the parts with the polishing, more preferably, in the central part. This is taken up to a pressure welded coil 14. Next, the coil 14 is uncoiled, and fins 3, 4 at both side edges of the plate 2 and the supply side are fixed, after which pressurized fluid is introduced into the pipe 9, by which the pipe is bulged to the original state. The assembly is cut to required length with a cutter, whereby the heat receiving plate of the expanded panel is obtained.
