Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the high-speed transmission of signals wide range between cars of a train with use of light, by carrying out the space transmission for the signals between the cars by means of a light emitting element and a photodetector plus the optical signal. CONSTITUTION:A rail 1, cars 2, a central command device 3, a terminal device 4 which performs the process of information for each car plus signal cables 5 and 6 which connect the devices 3 and 4 in a loop form are provided. A light emitting element 7 is provided at one side of the ends corresponding to each other between the adjacent cars, and a photodetector 8 is provided at the other end respectively. Thus the signals are transmitted in the space between cars by means of the optical signal and through the element 7 and the detector 8. In such a way, the high-speed transmission is possible for signals in a wide range to realize a transmission line suited to enhance the performance of a control system effective on a car.
