Abstract
PURPOSE: An expellent for noxious mollusks having specific fatal action on a slug, such as acusta filica, acusta despecta, etc., immediate effect, capable of expelling the noxious mollusks securely by its low concentration, comprising glutaraldehyde as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: The titled expellent comprising glutaraldehyde (pentanedial) which has been used as a germicide, a tanning agent for leather, or fixing agent for specimen of electron microscope, as an active ingredient. The compound may be used directly, a carrier and other auxiliary may be added to it depening upon purposes of use, and preferably the blend is pharmaceutically manufactured into granules, dust, wettable powder, solution, aeroseol, etc. by conventional method and used. The amount of the active ingredient in the pharmaceutical preparation is 2W50wt%.
