Abstract
PURPOSE:To restrain overrun of a prime mover for a pump and frictional power loss by driving an actuator by a hydraulic pump motor in closed-circuit system, connecting the pump motor to a motor through a clutch, and driving the motor by a pump to which a fly wheel is coupled. CONSTITUTION:While a fly wheel 27 is rotated, hydraulic pump motors 3-5 function as a pump or a motor to consume power of the fly wheel 27 or to store surplus power in the fly wheel 27. When the rotation speed of the fly wheel 27 is below a predetermined value, a detector 28 detects it to turn on a clutch 26 and accelerate the fly wheel 27. When the speed is above the predetermined value, the clutch 26 is turned off, so that frictional power loss of a prime mover 1 is small and energy loss is small. Surplus power is not used for drive of the prime mover 1, and is stored in the fly wheel 27, whereby overrun of the prime mover can be prevented.
