Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for installation of a transformer in the field by a method wherein the transformer tank is split into a plurality of units of transportation and each unit is horizontally moved using a rolling member inserted between the tank and base beam, and at the same time, the leads of each unit of transportation are connected with another lead using a sliding contact. CONSTITUTION:Among the transportation unit transformer tanks 3A-3C wherein a core 1 and a winding circuit 2 are housed respectively, the transformer tank 3B located in the center is fixed directly on a common base beam 4 using a bolt 5, and the transformer tanks 4A and 3C are fixed on the base 4 using a bolt 17 through the intermediary of a rolling member consisting of a roller 16 made of steel rod. Also, each of the transformer tanks 3A-3C is composed of upper covers 6A-6C and tank main bodies 7A-7C, coupling sections 8A-8D are provided respectively on the side opposing to the other adjoining tanks, and the transformer tanks are directly connected by these coupling sections respectively. At the same time, inside the tank, the mutual lead 18 of the unit transformer is connected using a sliding contact 19 which is slidable in the axial direction of the lead 18.
