Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish chamfering automatically by rotating a rotary table by a driving gear and simultaneously pressing it against a roller by means of a pusher, and thereby applying a chamfering cutter to the work. CONSTITUTION:The work 1 is set on a rotary table 11, and the driving gear for the cutter 7 and the driving gear for the rotary table 13 are simultaneously operated. The rotary table 11 is pushed to A-direction by means of a pusher 14, so that a gauge 4, which is in one body with the rotary table 11, is pressed against a roller 12. The rotary table 11 is rotated with its horizontal position continually adjusted in coincidence with the peripheral contour of the gauge 4 so that the proper chamfering is accomplished by the chamfering cutter 6 to the peripheral corners of the work 1. Thus, the work efficiency is improved as compared to the manual chamfering performed before.
