Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a water purifier of such a small size as to permit direct coupling to a faucet cock and of a high dechlorination effect and sterilization effect by incorporating a dechlorinating blank material made by vapor-depositing metallic silver on the surfaces of activated carbon fibers thereby constituting the water purifier.
CONSTITUTION: A dechlorinating material 4 made by vapor-depositing metallic silver on the surfaces of activated carbon fibers is incorporated into a circular discoidal column 3, thereby manufacturing a water purifier 2 like a relatively thin disc. A sealing material 6 of relatively thick made of rubber or the like is beforehand adhered to the inside of the connecting part 5 of the purifier 2, and the purifier is firmly fixed to a faucet cock 1 by means of the material 6. To facilitate exchanging of the material 4, the column 3 is designed to be divided to an upper and a lower part by means of a screwing part 7. The material 4 is about 20mm thick, and it is equally well to laminate many sheets of the dechlorinating materials of about 5mm each.
