Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the lowering of distance measuring accuracy to a subject image of any type of linear structure, by providing a microprism distance measuring part around a split-image distance measuring part. CONSTITUTION:For a focal plate 1, a split-image distance measuring part 10 is provided with a diffraction grating structure applied on a split-image prism. In addition, a microprism distance measuring part 11 is provided around the part 10. With use of such focal plate 1, the distance can be measured with high accuracy to an ordinary subject having at least a vertical line structure owing to the image splitting and vignette produced through the part 10 causing a reduced shade. On the other hand, the part 11 is used for a subject of only a lateral line structure. In such a way, the measurement of distance is made possible with high accuracy without lowering the accuracy of measurement.
