Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate rotating parts at a processing section, by providing trays which are wound around a vertical shaft in the manner that the starting portion and the end portion of the winding are overlapped with each other with some spacing in a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:A spiral tray 2 is wound around a cylindrical, vertical shaft 1, and the starting portion and the end portion of the winding of the tray 2 are overlapped with each other for the purpose of causing rotational movement of granular matter A when it is moved in a positive direction. On the other hand, vertical spacing of the starting portion and the end portion of the winding is for dropping the granular matter A onto a lower tray 2 when it is moved in a reverse direction. In the above arrangement, a heating madium B is carried into the vertical shaft 1. Therefore, the trays 2 fixed to the vertical shaft 1 serve not only as a passage for the granular matter A but also as heat transfer surfaces, so that a large heat transfer area can be obtained. Thus, it is enabled to eliminate rotating parts at a processing section and to raise the efficiency of heat transfer.
