Abstract

PURPOSE:To make constant the heating condition when electrode buring work is carried out by a method wherein only the end of a glass rod for supporting an electron gun is colored to indicate the kind of the electron gun. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun 3 is buried in between colorless glass rods 2 to support the electron gun and only the end 2a of the glass rod is colored to indicate the kind of the electron gun. In so doing, the change of glass properties generated by the difference in color volume because the whole glass is colored can be eliminated. Thus all kinds of electron guns may be buried under the same heating condition.
