PURPOSE:To extract only the reproduced signal of one recording track with extremely high precision by processing the reproduced signal of a head through the subtraction of a subtracting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The reproduced signal of a rotary head 1 which performs an advanced scan on a magnetic tape 3 is amplified by a reproduced-signal processing circuit 11 and then supplied to a subtracting circuit 14 through a delay circuit 12 with time delay as long as the interval from the time when the gap of the rotary head 11 passes through some point of the magnetic tape to that when the gap of a rotary head 11 passes through the same point. The reproduced signal of the rotary head 2, on the other hand, is amplified by a reproduced-signal processing circuit 13 and then subtracted 14 from the output reproduced signal of the delay circuit 12. The levels of both the reproduced signals supplied to the subtracting circuit 14 have been adjusted and the signals of tracks that the rotary heads 1 and 2 scan simultaneously cancel mutually to be removed, so that only the reproduced signal of one track that only the rotary head 1 scans appears at an output 15 from the subtracting circuit 14.
