Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a smooth audio response service, by producing an aural message from a storage circuit in case a voice synthesizer has a fault. CONSTITUTION:When a fault arises, a voice syhthesizer 11-1 in an audio response unit 10 applies a fault signal to a switch circuit 13-1. Thus a storage circuit 12 is connected to a D/A converter 14-1, and the stored message is transmitted to a telephone circuit 1 via a circuit network controller 2 and in the form of an analog signal. The same procedure is carried out also for voice synthesizers 11-2-11-n respectively.
