Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an accurate pulse that is free from an effect of each signal level for a waveform shaping device which changes an analog signal into a pulse, by switching the slice level to separate the extraction of signal from the formation of pulse. CONSTITUTION:The peak value of an analog signal is held at the 1st peak holding circuit 2, and the divided voltage output is used as the 1st slice level. At the same time, the difference signal of a subtractor circuit 3 obtained by subtracting the analog signal from the peak holding value is held at the 2nd peak holding circuit 5, and the divided voltage output is used as the 2nd slice level. The 2nd slice level is compared with the difference signal through a comparator 8 with the 1st slice level used as the reference signal. In case the difference signal is large, the 1st slice level is compared with the difference signal with the 2nd slice level used as the reference signal. Thus a pulse corresponding to an analog signal is delivered. As a result, the proper slicing of level is carried out at all times to obtain an accurate pulse.
