CONSTITUTION:The air passages 6 provided in the member of the valve casing 2 are open to the valve seat part 7. The compressed air 11 is fed to the passages 6 just before the closing of the exhaust valve by means of timing gear to be jetted against the valve seat part 7. The valve seat part 7 is prevented from the formation of dent owing to the jamming of combustion residue at the closing of the exhaust valve by blowing-off the residue such as carbon and the like adhering to or suspending in the space near the exhaust valve stem 1 and the valve seat part 7 of the exhaust valve casing 2.
