Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure normal travelling on soft farmlad, where the crawler is liable to be sunk down, by providing sideway protrusions to the lugs of tapered end. CONSTITUTION:In travelling on soft farmland where thrust of a crawler is liable to be reduced due to ground being sheared and crumbled between thrust lugs 9 at the outer circumferential surface of the crawler belt, thrust is maintained by providing sideway protrusions to the lugs, group 10, so that reduction in thrust, as a whole, is minimized and the crawler is protected from being completely bogged down. The earth holding space between sideway protrusions 10 are open throughout its vertical length and also open outward, and with the protrusion itself formed in a triangle tapered off to the end, earth held in the space is allowed to escape easily, so that the loss of thrust due to earth held between sideway protrusions 10 never be large enough to bog down the crawler completely.
