Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the head shaking of vehicle occupants when collided from behind by lifting or lowering a car body in both foward and backward direction of the car body with a pushing force acting on a damper on the body side. CONSTITUTION:A toggle joint 3 is provided between a car body 1 and an axle housing 2. A rod 5 is projected backward to the rear of the body 1 from a supporting shaft 4 which pivots lower and upper links for said joint 3 respectively. A bamper 6 is fastened to the rear of sakd rod 5. When collided from behind, the bamper 6 is pushed to the front of the body 1, and a toggle joint 3 is also pushed. As a result, the car body is lifted. When the toggle joint 3 is provided in front of the axle housing 2, the car body is lowered when collided from behind.
