Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the working operation of a ready available lead storage battery, by inserting, assembling and forming an unformed plate group in an electrolyzer whose under side peripheral parts are thin, then cutting the thin parts, washing said plate group with water, drying and depositing said plate group again. CONSTITUTION:In a box electrolyzer 1 made of thermoplastic resins, a thin part 1' which is thinner than any other parts in thickness is installed between the under end part of a plate group 5 or the more under part and the bottom part 1a of the electrolyzer 1; the electrolyzer 1 is easily cut off at the thin part 1'. The unformed plate group is inserted into the electrolyzer 1 and subjected to an inter-cell connecting process in order to constitute a battery. Next, the electrolytic solution is introduced in order to conduct a formation-treatment of said battery, then said electrolytic solution is drawn out. In addition, the bottom part 1a of the electrolyzer is cut off from said thin part 1' and left in the cut off state, then washed with water and dried. Afterwards, the cut off bottom part 1a of the electrolyzer and the remaining part 1b are deposited to constitute a re- deposited part 6, thus a ready available lead storage battery is formed.
