Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the speed of multichannel readout lower than that of one- channel readout, and to decrease the frequency of a video signal by reading out a video signal out of solid-state image pickup elements by plural channels. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device 1 consists of four channel solid image pickup elements 1a-1d. Video signals obtained by the elements 1a-1d are transferred, element by element, by using a clock from a clock-signal generaror 2 to readout to four channels. The frequencies of the video signals are supplied to preamplifiers 3a-3d, where they are amplified and corrected to be supplied to recording circuits 4a-4d. Further, the clock-signal generator 2 supplies a control signal to a recording circuit 4e. Recording circuits 4a-4e modulate and amplify supplied signals to shape waveforms suitable for recording, and supply them to recording heads 5a-5d, thereby recording the signals on a magnetic tape 6.
