Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the durability of a pile by a method in which an anticorrosive layer is provided in the joint between piles in the construction site of piles, and the anticorrosive layer is protected by a protective band. CONSTITUTION:A lower pile 1 is driven to midway under the ground, and then a durable heat-shrinkable tube 4 having an anticorrosive layer 5 inside is attached to the lowerpile 1. And, the lower pile 1 is joined with an upper pile 2 through coupling seat plates 11 and 21, the joint 3 is cleaned, the heat-shrinkable tube 4 is moved in such a way as to cover the joint 3 completely, and the tube 4 is shrunk by heating to form a covering layer. Furthermore, a protective band 6 is covered on the tube 4 and clampled by a bolt 7, and the joint 3 portion is driven underground. The piles 1 and 2 used are made of reinforced concrete, the anticorrosive layer 5 used is composed of a butyl rubber-based adhesive, and also the heat-shrinkable tube 4 used is made of a stretched, bridged polyethylene sheet.
