Abstract
PURPOSE: To effect the transcutaneous administration of a drug component from an adhesive preparation containing said drug component, by applying an epidermisremoving material having a pressure-sensitive layer to the skin to be treated, peeling the material from the skin, and applying the adhesive preparation to the skin.
CONSTITUTION: The transcutaneous administration of a drug component contained in an adhesive preparation (obtained by coating a backing material such as film, cloth, etc. with a base prepared by dissolving a transcutaneously absorbable generally or locally acting drug in an adhesive material composed mainly of a synthetic resin, etc. and exhibiting pressure-sensitive adhesivity at normal temperature) can be performed by applying an epidermis-removing material having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (obtained by coating a substrate with an adhesive material composed mainly of a synthetic resin, etc. and exhibiting pressure-sensitive adhesivity at normal temperature or exhibiting adhesivity by the thermal activation) to the skin to be treated, peeling the epidermis-removing material from the skin, and applying the above adhesive preparation to the skin.
EFFECT: The barrier function of the epidermic layer is lowered, and the stain on the skin surface is removed.
