Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the supervision of an axis of rotation earthing device by a method wherein a switch intermediates between brushes contacted around an axis of rotation and a grounding point as well as a supervisory measuring instrument is connected between the brushes and the grounding point through the switch. CONSTITUTION:Two brushes Ba and Bb are contacted with the surface around an axis of rotation 3, while the conductors 15a and 15b are fixed with a brush holder 4 holding the brushes. A supervisory measuring instrument 19 is connected with the conductors 15a and 15b respectively through the switches 18a and 18b while being connected with a grouding bus 11 through the switches 20a and 20b. When the switches 18a and 20b are turned ''ON'', the brush Bb functions as an axis of rotation grounding device while the brush Ba transmits the voltage between the axis of rotation 3 and the grounding bus 11 to the supervisory measuring instrument 19. And by observing the indication or the output the grounding function of the brush Bb is to be supervised.
