Thereby, the contacting of the mercury ball 9 with the piezoelectric material is accomplished surely, and the movement within the horizontal plane is possible and therefore setting thereof in the position of the electrode 4 and on the axis of the recessed hole is made possible, and the generation of ultrasonic waves under optimum conditions is made possible. It is possible to set the diameter d of the recessed hole and the diameter D of the electrode 4 easily to d=D by increasing and decreasing the amt. of the mercury used in accordance with the varying sizes of the bore of the recessed hole.
