Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the accurate effective value of load voltage, by using both the mean value and the peak value. CONSTITUTION:The load voltage V1 is dropped by a transformer T1 and receives a full wave rectification 3 to be turned into the DC voltage V2 in accordance to the own voltage V1. The voltage V2 is applied to both a peak value circuit and a mean value circuit of a load voltage detecting circuit 4 to be turned into the DC voltage V3. The voltage V3 and the reference voltage Vref2 are supplied to a differential amplifier 5, and the error voltage V4 is obtained from the amplifier 5. On the other hand, the AC voltage of an AC power source 2 is dropped by a power supply transformer T2 and then receives a full wave rectification 7 to obtain the voltage V5. A zero cross detecting circuit 8 detects the zero cross point of the voltage V5 to produce a zero cross pulse V6. Then a sawtooth wave generating circuit 9 produces the voltage V7 to apply it to a phase shifting circuit 6 synchronously with the pulse V6. This sawtooth wave voltage V7 is compared with the voltage V4 through the circuit 6 to obtain a signal V8.
