Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a simple deodorizing apparatus without needing cooling water, by integrating an ozonizer for removing malodorous components in the air and a boosting transformer in one body, and installing it in an odorous gas duct to cool the ozonizer directly by the odorous gas.
CONSTITUTION: An odorous gas is passed through a duct 4 and the outer circumference of an ozonizer 1 installed in a duct 14 by a blower 2, and is sent to a deodorizing tower 3. A raw gaseous body is compresed by an air compressor 8 and is dried by a dryer 7, and is fed into the deodorizer 1 through a pipe 12. On the other hand, the above-mentioned dried air is passed through a silent- electric-discharge zone generated by supplying electric power to a boosting transformer 9 from an electric-source part through a cable 11, to form ozone. This ozone, as the gaseous ozonized body, is passed through a controlling valve 13 and a pipe 5 and is led to a duct 14 to react with the odorous gas in the tower 3 so as to perform a deodorizing treatment completely. A heat generating by the silent discharge is removed by the odorous gas flow efficiently, and the apparatus is made simple.
