Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform horizontal and vertical convergence adjustments automatically and rapidly with high precision, by using the image pickup element of a TV camera. CONSTITUTION:In the 1st field scanning, a green dot signal is projected by a color-signal switch. In the next field scanning, a video signal appears at a TV camera 19. This signal sets a horizontal green position counter 21 which counts clock pulses to measure a horizontal position in the screen of the camera 19 in terms of time. Then, a color-signal switch 20 projects a red dot signal and a red-position counter 22 is set as well as green. A comparison 23 between the contents of the counters 21 and 22 is made and a data reversible counter 11 is driven until the both are coincident, thus performing a horizontal adjustment. Similarly, a vertical adjustment is made, and other adjustment points are also processed similarly to make a convergence adjustment of the entire screen. Further, an adjustment of blue dots is made similarly.
