Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize the pressure in a cylinder and the pressure in a static-pressure chamber and contrive to operate a piston smoothly by providing a device for supplying a high-pressure fluid into the static-pressure chamber of a slipper beginning to be communicated with a high-pressure port, through supply passages each of which has an end opened to the side of a sliding surface of a swash plate. CONSTITUTION:The interior of the cylinder 10 and the interior of the static-pressure chamber 24 are communicated to each other through the supply passages 25, 26 for the high-pressure fluid which are opened at one end to the side of the sliding surface 22 of the swash plate 21, so that the pressures in both the cylinder 10 and the chamber 24 are kept equal to the pressure on the high-pressure port 13 side. This condition is maintained also at the parts of the succeeding high-pressure port 13 and a low-pressure port 12, and substantially the same action is obtained when the cylinder on the subsequent stage comes to the cylinder position shown. Therefore, when the cylinder 10 begins to be communicated with the high-pressure port 13, the pressure in the cylinder 10 and the pressure in the chamber 24 are kept substantially equal. Accordingly, a piston slipper 18 is slidden smoothly without being moved to the cylinder 10 side or the swash plate 21 side, and the piston 16 is reciprocated smoothly.
