Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain simply a product formed by thermocontraction having a special shape without symmetry of rotation by following process in which an elastic inner mold of a special shape is inserted by deforming it into a thermocontractive formed article which is expanded mechanically into a simply mold, and then the inner mold is removed, after they are formed into a special shape by heating.
CONSTITUTION: For instance, in the case of making a complicated formed product , first, a thermocontractive formed article is mechanically expanded into a simple shape S by dividably metal mold or wooden made as primary forming. Next, an elastic inner mold of a desirable special shape is inserted into the primary formed article by deforming it. The primary formed article is softened by heating, and it is formed into the desirable special shape by restoration force of the elastic inner mold. Thereafter, elastic inner mold G is removed, and the product is completed. The objective product formed by contraction is obtained by contraction due to further heating.
