Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the feeling of unpleasantness, by making small the difference of gain at balancing and maximum balancing, through the change in the emitter current ratio of a balance adjusting differential amplifier, in a signal processing IC for audio multiplex broadcast for a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:The emitter area ratio of transistors (TR)Q1,Q2 of a balance adjusting differential amplifier and TRsQ3,Q4 is taken as 1:4, and a stereophonic left signal output OL and a right signal output OR are outputted to load resistors R1, R2 via TRsQ7,Q8 and TRsQ9,Q10 of the differential amplifier for the left and right signal inputs from terminals L,R. When the difference VA-B of balance voltages applied to terminals A,B is zero, the current flowing to the resistors R1,R2 is respectively 4IL/5 and 4IR/5, and depending that the voltage A is sufficiently higher than B or lower, zero current and IR, or IL and zero current flow to the resistors R1,R2. Thus, the output gain difference between balancing and maximum balancing is around 1.9 dB, allowing to eliminate the feeling of unpleasantness at adjustment.
