Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the peak-to-peak value of impulse noises mixed into the transmitting system and to improve the error rate, by installing phase control circuits which have a non-linear phase characteristic and which supplement each other, to the transmitting side and receiving side of an FM transmitting system. CONSTITUTION:A modulation signal from a modulation signal generator 1 is delivered from an FM modulator 4 through a phase controller 2 having a non- linear phase characteristic. The signal is discriminated in frequency by a discriminator 4 at the receiving side, and the phase characteristic is inputted into a non-linear phase controller, and the peak-to-peak value of impulse noises is lowered by the phase controller 5. The composite value of the phase characteristic at the transmitting side and the receiving side becomes a linear one. Moreover, the output of the phase controller 5 is outputted through a filter and a digital demodulator 7.
