Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the shift operation of the operator, by providing a means defining the shift stae to the keyboard in advance, before the input data from the keyboard is processed with a processing program. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal from an oscillator 201 is frequency-divided and a scanning signal is transmitted to a keyboard KB via a key scan driver 203, and scan number information is outputted from the driver 203 to an input circuit 205. The circuit 205 receives this information and a data signal from the KB and outputs either of an interruption generating trigger signal and encoded data or a shift code 310. The newest shift code out of the code 310 and a shift code 311 set from a CPU via a bus interface 211 is selected at a gate 207 and stored in a shift state register 208, and code conversion 210 is made according to this code, and shift state display is made to the KB via a lamp driver 209. Thus, since the items to be inputted can be known in advance, no shift operation is needed.
