Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the radiation efficiency of a structure by providing guiding grooves for dielectric supporting rods on the inside surface of an enclosing container to prevent the torsion of rods and enlarge the contact area with the enclosing container, where the slow-wave circuit is fixed by heat shrinkage of the enclosing container. CONSTITUTION:Circular grooves 7, 8, 9 for guiding dielectric supporting rods 2, 3, 4 provided on the periphery of a coil 1 are provided on the inside surface of a cylindrical enclosing container 6 with an interval of 120 degree. Dielectric supporting rods 2, 3, 4 are provided on the periphery of the coil 1 with an interval of 120 degree and cooled, and the rods are inserted into the grooves 7, 8, 9 of the heated enclosing container 6 and cooled slowly. Thus the unevenness of force exerted on the coil 1 due to the torsion of the dielectric rods 2, 3, 4 is eliminated, and the heat generation due to the eccentricity and deformation of the coil 1 is prevented because of enlarged contact area of the supporting rods 2, 3, 4 with the enclosing container 6, and internally generated heat due to other causes is also transferred to the enclosing container 6 efficiently.
