Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of machining conditions, by storing the set values of machining dependent on the combination of a work with a machining wire, as one group in a memory and by selectively reading out each group and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:The set values of machining conditions such as an applied voltage, the capacity of capacitor of a discharge circuit and the tension of a wire electrode are listed for every combination of the diameter of the wire electrode with the quality of the work to be machined by wire-cut spark erosion and are stored in a memory 5 added to a numerical controller 2. A manual input unit 3 is provided with a prescribed number of push buttons which indicate the combinations of the quality of the work with the diameter of the wire electrode. When one of the push buttons is selectively pressed, the corresponding list of machining conditions is read out from the memory 5 and indicated on a CRT display unit 4. The operator sets the machining conditions on the control panel 1a of a wire-cut spark erosion machine in accordance with the list.
