CONSTITUTION:A prime gear 23 is constituted in the same body with a pulley 23a, and supported rotatably by a shaft 24 on a fixed plate, and a segment gear 26 is supported rotatably on a base plate 1 by a supporting shaft 27. Three segment gears 26, 34 and 42 are arranged opposite the prime gear 23, and three operating members 50, 53 and 56 are driven by those segment gears 26, 34 and 42. When the operating member 50 moves alone, a tape is taken up at a high speed in the 1st direction and when the operating member 53 moves alone, it is taken up at the high speed in the 2nd direction; when both the operating members 50 and 53 move, reproduction is performed and when three operating members 50, 53 and 56 move, recording is performed.
