Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve accuracy in time-setting by a method wherein an intermittently rotating part engaged with both of the facing rotating handle and timer proper in a diametrical direction. CONSTITUTION:A detent ring 5 inwardly facing a timer proper 1 is provided. A thin wall skirt 8 is formed at the end of the peripheral part of a rotating handle 6, whereas one piece of detent 9 is formed on the skirt 8. In addition, a vetical hole 11 is made in the peripheral part above the detent 9 and a vertical groove 12 is formed on the external surface of the detent 9, while several positioning grooves 13, 14 are formed in the inside bottom part of the vertical groove 12. The rotating handle 6 is fixed to a rotary shaft 2 with a fixing screw 19 and a projection 18a of a stopper 15 is engaged with the upper positioning groove 13 whereby the rotating handle 6 can be intermittently rotated. When the timer is not used, the stopper 15 is depressed so that a pressure contacting part 17 is positioned behind the rear side of the detent 9. Thus the deflection of the detent 9 is prevented, whereas the rotation of the rotating handle 6 is controlled.
