Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the tension of a coupling part between unit trucks for conveying earth and sand or the like by utilizing gravity, by using a rotary body rotated by the trucks moving in a downward passage, to move the other trucks in an upward passage.
CONSTITUTION: An earth and sand loading mechanism 8 for dropping earth and sand into a unit truck 3 is provided at the upper bent portion 2' of an endless track 2 laid on a slope 1. The train of unit trucks 3 loaded with the earth and sand is moved toward the lower bent protion 2" of the track 2 due to gravity. At the lower bent portion 2", the vessel 12 of each truck 3 is tilted sidewards by utilizing the cooperation of the guide rail 9 to discharge the earth and sand into a barge 19. Tension reducers 20, 20 are provided astride the downward and upward sections 2a, 2b of the track 2. The reducers 20, 20 are constructed that a chain 50 is revolved by the movement of the trcuks 3 in the downward section 2a through the engagement of pins 90 with claws 80 and the other trucks 3 in the upward section 2b are moved by the revolving force of the chain 50 through another chain 50'.
