Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic pressure controller with a highly accurate and simplified structure for a liquid-pressure type compression molding machine by combining a photoelectric device detecting the needle of a pressure gauge with a device moving the photoelectric device to a given position.
CONSTITUTION: A reflection type photoelectric device 17 attached to the arm 16 of a reduction gears 15 operating by a synchronous motor 12 is provided in relation to a pressure gauge 8 attached to one end of a support plate 11 in such a way that the light beam of the photoelectric device 17 is projected on the while part 9a of the dial of the pressure gauge 8 as the arm 16 turns. After setting the photoelectric device 17 in such a way that the light beam is projected at the point A of the white part 9a of the dial corresponding to a give pressure P1, the application of pressure on liquid-pressure type compression molding machine is started, whereupon the pressure rises and the needle 10 of the pressure guage turns clockwise. When the needle reaches the point A, the reflection light of the photoelectric device 17 is interrupted. By the signal, the pressure application to the molding machine is stopped, but the photoelectric device 17 is reset in such a way that the light beam is projected at the point C corresponding to next given pressure P2 and then pressure application is restarted on the molding machine.
