Abstract

PURPOSE: A resin composition, obtained by incorporating a graft copolymer of a rubber-like material with a vinyl compound with a linear polyether sulfone polymer containing chlorine, and having improved heat resistance, flame retardancy, tensile strength, surface hardness and creep characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: A resin composition prepared by incorporating (A) 5W95pts.wt. substantially linear polyether sulfone polymer, containing chlorine, and expressed by the formula (X and Y are hydrogen or chlorine, and at least one of X and Y is chlorine; Q is direct bond, -O-, -S-, bifunctional 1W6C aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon group; m is 0 or 1; n is 10W1,000) with (B) 95W5pts.wt. graft copolymer obtained by grafting 95W10pts.wt. vinyl compound selected from styrene, acrylonitrile, etc. onto 5W90pts.wt. rubber-like material selected from butadiene rubber-like material and acrylic ester rubber-like material to give the rubber- like material content of at most 50pts.wt. in the total composition.
