When the core member of the inner head is the same as that of the outer head, the maximum reproduction output of the outer head is greater than that of the inner head by 1.54-2.84 times. When the Mn-Zn ferrite is used for the inner head and the Ni-Zn ferrite for the outer head, the difference of the maximum reproduction output between the both heads can remarkably be reduced than conventional methods. Thus, the requirements to the dynamic range of a recording signal reproduction system circuit can be mitigated and the design can be made easy.
