Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a thinner shape of a wrist watch with a halved thickness by increasing the strength of hands therefor employing amorphous alloy for material. CONSTITUTION:A fused alloy 1 is sharply injected to a metal roll 3 rotating at a high speed through a nozzle 2 thereby facilitating the manufacture of an amorphous alloy tape 4 as material for hands for a wrist watch. In this case, the Fe- B system is selected as material for this invention as it is easy to become amorphous and can be manufactured very easily as a thin tape. The amorphous tape is shaped into an indication needle by stamping or the like. The product thus obtained looks the same as the conventional minute hand in the plane shape but is 30mum in the thickness, half that of the conventional hour hand ranging from 50-150mum. This can make the wrist watch further thinner.
