Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve flame extinguishing performance of a combustion controlling apparatus for a space heater or the like, by producing a first clock signal and another clock signal faster than the first clock signal at the time when a flame signal is detected, and designating a gate circuit to drive a control circuit on the basis of the logical addition of the above two clock signals.
CONSTITUTION: When flame is detected, signals FLO and FLUP are produced from a differentiation circuit 2-2. The signal FLO makes a shift register 8-2 shift faster than before detecting the flame, while the signal FLUP operates timers 15-1, 15-2 through setting of a memory 12-4 and opens a valve. When the temperature reaches a predetermined value, signals THOF and THO are produced from a differentiation circuit 2-1 and combustion terminating operation is started. Here, if flame is extinguished during the above process, a signal FLDW is produced from the differentiation circuit 2-2 and ordinary sequence terminating operation is employed through operation of AND-gates 3-3, 3-4 and an inverter 11-2. Thus, it is enabled to improve flame extinguishing performance of the combustion controlling apparatus.
