A stator 6B of the potentiometer 6 is fixed to a mounting plate 8 parallelly placed to the side wall 3 of a governor 2. When a control lever 10 is turned, the control lever rotary shaft 4 and the rotor 6A are also rotated, as a result, output voltage in proportion to a turning angle of the control lever rotary shaft 4 is generatd at an output terminal of the rotary type potentiometer 6, in this way, feed quantity of fuel to an engine can be electrically detected.
