Abstract

PURPOSE: To shear off a work to a small length in a short time, by moving a cam rack unit with the movement of a cutter reciprocation rest synchronized with than of the work and by causing the upper and lower cutters of a shearing section to cooperate with each other.
CONSTITUTION: A work A, which is rolled and is to be sheared off, is inserted into a shearing section 7 provided on a cutter reciprocation rest 8. The upper shearing cutter 5 of the shearing section 7 is moved down by a rod 22 pushed downward by the inclined surface 36 of the cam rack unit 34, to shear off the work A in cooperation with a lower shearing cutter 6.
