Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity occupied by a magnification converting mechanism, by providing the 1st cam which sets and unsets the 1st additional lens adhered to a main body on the optical axis of projection plus the 2nd cam which sets and unsets the 2nd additional lens on the optical axis of projection respectively. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the magnification is converted from 1 to 0.7 and 0.5 respectively. In such case, a main projection lens carriage 2 moves right when a motor 5 is turned. Coupling to the movement of the carriage 2, a 0.7 magnification additional lens 12 turns clockwise by the function of a right lowering part 18' of a cam groove 18 and a cam follower 16 for magnification 0.7. When a positioning member 34 of the carriage 2 is stopped by a stopper 35 for magnification 0.7, the electric conduction is cut off to the motor 5, a main projection lens 1 is set at a prescribed position. Thus the folloer 16 engages the bottom part 18'' of the groove 18. For exchange to magnification 0.5, the motor 5 turns to give the shunt to the stopper 35, and the carriage 2 moves to the right side.
