Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of oceanic life to the hull without increasing any resistance against the propulsion of the ship by pasting fur or resin mat, etc., below the draft line of the ship, with surface hair or plastic fiber arranged in the direction opposite to the bow. CONSTITUTION:Fur or resin mat 3 with the surface hair or plastic fiber 2 arranged the direction opposite to the bow of the ship is pasted to the outer surface of the hull and below the draft line. Ocean life such as oyster, barnacle, etc., cannot adhere when surface adsorptive area is small, therefore, adhesion of these ocean life can be prevented by extendingly pasting animal fur or resin mat with projecting plastic fibers on the ships bottom. Further, because of opposite direction of the hair or fiber to the bow, hydraulic resistance to a traveling ship will not be increased.
