Abstract

PURPOSE:To always contact the tip end of a vane with the inner surface of a housing in order to prevent the generation of chattering by applying oil pressure to an oil groove formed along almost whole length of a part where the volume of a cylinder chamber increases. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil in an oil storing chamber 16b is pushed up to an end surface of an rotary shaft 3 by the pressure of a coolant compressed in a cylinder chamber R, since the oil storing chamber 16b and the rotary shaft 3 are communicated with each other while the pressure of the coolant is applied to the oil storing chamber 16b. Then, the lubricating oil flows into a space between a rotor 2 and a rear side plate 7 from the outer periphery of the rotary shaft 3 and it mainly flows toward a part of the end surface of the rotor 2 where the volume of the cylinder chamber R increases, further it applies oil pressure to an oil groove 7c and help a vane 4 to project. Thus, the tip end of the vane 4 always contacts with the inner surface of a housing in a sliding manner, whereas generation of so-called chattering, that is, the generation of noise, caused by unnecessary movement of the vane 4 in a vane groove 2, can be prevented completely.
